Monday Motivation Tip: Executive Recognition
|Call in the big guns to reward performance or motivate staff. This means asking your organization’s top executives to congratulate or encourage employees at just the right time.
Use this type of recognition sparingly, like a secret weapon; if done too often it will lose meaning. It may be conveyed in memos, through voice mail, or in person to congratulate, thank, and shake hands.
As the manager, you will need to request executive recognition and brief them on what they are congratulating or encouraging. The more specific an executive can be in one or two sentences, the more impact his or her contact will have.
